Senator Daisy Ehanire Danjuma is a law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School.

She began her career as a State Counsel in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice (Department of Public Prosecutions) and was a pioneer Legal Counsel to the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria before working for the investment bank Nigerian Acceptances Ltd. (NAL). She spent the next decade as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before moving into private practice.

In 2003 she was elected as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where she served on numerous committees, most notably as Chairman of the ECOWAS Parliament’s Women and Children’s Rights Committee and Senate Committee Chairman on Women Affairs and Youth Development. Following her legislative tenure, she held the position of Executive Vice Chairman of SAPETRO until December 2023 when she was appointed as the Executive Chairman.

Beyond her executive responsibilities at SAPETRO, Senator Danjuma is the Chairman Board of Trustees of the H I D Awolowo Foundation, a Member Board of Trustees of Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF), the Chairman Board of Trustees of Lagos Public Interest Law Partnership (LPILP) and the Chairman of May & Baker Nigeria Plc.

Senator Danjuma is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the International Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA). In recognition of her sterling achievements and contributions to the legal profession, business, governance and philanthropy and social advocacy, Senator Daisy Danjuma has also been awarded honorary doctorate degrees by the University of Ibadan, University of Benin and the Redeemer’s University.

Emeke is a highly experienced oil and gas professional with over 30 years’ experience that include upstream operations, non-operated ventures and oilfield services. He holds a B.Sc. (First Class Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan and a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston. He is a certified Completion Engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Emeke has worked in various locations, including Nigeria, Congo, the Netherlands and the United States of America. His experience includes more than two decades working with the Shell Oil Group at various levels. Prior to joining SAPETRO, Emeke was involved in several ventures, including being the Managing Director/CEO of Accelerated Compact Energy Solutions Ltd, an indigenous Nigerian company he co-founded to provide integrated field development solutions, drilling, workover and related well engineering services, and production optimization.

In his role as Managing Director, his responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of the company and ensuring business growth and profitability

Gloria has been the Executive Director at NAL – Comet Group in Lagos, Nigeria since 2004. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, NC, USA in 1990 and is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School.

She is also a Board Member of the TY Danjuma Family Office, Novotel Hotel Port Harcourt and a member of TY Danjuma Foundation Board of Trustees.

Mr. Longe is a banker who started his career in 1969 at First Bank Plc., where he rose to the position of Managing Director/CEO in July 2000. His achievements at First Bank included masterminding the introduction and implementation of the first International Money Transfer System in Nigeria, and overseeing the crafting and implementation of the Enterprise Transformation Project, “Century II”, before optimizing and consolidating the gains of that initiative by stewarding the “Century II The New Frontier” project.

He is also a former Chief Operating Officer of Dangote Group of Companies and a former Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc.

Mr. Longe is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria and has attended various technical, management courses and seminars including courses at Harvard Business School, IMD Lausanne and the Singapore Institute of Management. In recognition of his achievements, he was conferred with the award of Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON, in 2001 by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Mr. Maurice served as Managing Director of TotalEnergies E&P Nigeria, Managing Director of TotalEnergies E&P Congo and as Senior Vice President, Africa, for Exploration & Production at TotalEnergies. He brings over four decades of experience in the oil and gas industry with deep knowledge of Nigeria’s upstream operations and a distinguished career spanning Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America.

Mrs Gentles is the Chief Operating Officer at TY Danjuma Family Office Ltd. She joined the Family Office from Emirates Airlines, where she was employed as e-commerce Manager, UK. She brings more than 12 years of marketing experience to her role at the Family Office, where her main responsibilities include HR, Marketing & PR, and the property subsidiary, TY Properties (UK) Ltd. Hannatu is also a Board Member of the TY Danjuma Family Office, TY Properties (UK) Ltd and TY Ventures (UK) Ltd.

Mrs Gentles holds a joint honours BA degree in Theology and Philosophy from Nottingham University, UK, an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and attended the Investment Management Programme (Equity Investment Management) at the London Business School.

Mr. Lefebure held the position of General Manager, Corporate Strategic Projects at TotalEnergies. He has extensive knowledge of the Nigerian operational landscape having also served as former Vice President of the Franco-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Special Advisor to TotalEnergies E&P Nigeria and France’s Official External Trade Advisor to Nigeria.

Mr Ishaya Danjuma serves in various executive capacities and is currently a director of Wheatbaker Investment & Properties, Beverly Development & Realties, Dangil Holding Company Ltd, Apave Nigeria Ltd, Pleiadex Ltd, NAL Comet Group of Companies Ltd, Dominion Rice & Integrated Farms Ltd, and Capital Club West Africa.

He is a graduate of Santa Monica College, California, USA, and has participated in several management trainings, including Owner Management Programme and Finance for Non-Finance Managers from the Lagos Business School, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

Mr Theophilus Danjuma is the founder and director of The Danjuma Collection. He holds a BA Honours in History and Politics from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Mr Danjuma is also a Board Member of the TY Danjuma Foundation, Drillog Petro Dynamics, the TY Danjuma Family Office, Stirling Trust Company Limited, NAL Comet Group and the Wheatbaker Investment & Properties.

Azubuike holds a B.SC. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and an M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

He started his career with Arthur Andersen (now KPMG) before joining ExxonMobil as a Reservoir Engineer in 2005, where he held several technical and leadership positions across ExxonMobil subsidiaries in Nigeria and the United States. He has extensive experience across the entire E&P asset life cycle as well as commercial management, portfolio analysis and value assurance capabilities.

As General Manager, Technical & Assets, Azubuike is responsible for the performance of SAPETRO assets, and for the technical assurance and maturation of new venture opportunities.

Tosin Babatope

Tosin holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom, and an HND from Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. He also possesses an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Scotland and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Tosin has worked in several jurisdictions including Nigeria, Malaysia, Angola, and Congo, where he honed his financial acumen and leadership in diverse financial practices and regulatory landscapes. Prior to joining SAPETRO he was Division Controller for Nigeria & West Africa at SLB (formerly known as Schlumberger), where he managed overall financial coordination and ensured the profitability of operations across several West African countries.

As the General Manager of Finance at SAPETRO, he will manage and control all financial activities. His responsibilities encompass developing financial and operational strategies to achieve cost-effective utilization of the company’s assets and financial resources, and maximizing return on shareholders’ investments.

Silas is an experienced energy lawyer with expertise in upstream matters relating to Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements, EPC contract management, project finance, general corporate and commercial law, Farm-In and Farm-Out Agreements, Drilling Services Agreements, Shareholders Agreements as well as Corporate Governance issues. Prior to joining SAPETRO, he worked on major transactions and projects while working with Aluko & Oyebode and SAIPEM.

Silas holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Petroleum Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Ahmadu Bello University. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

As General Manager Legal Services, he is responsible for ensuring that SAPETRO’s legal interests are protected and that operations and business transactions are compliant with relevant statutory provisions. He is also responsible for managing SAPETRO’s Enterprise Risk & Compliance Management, Contract & Procurement and Corporate Affairs activities.
